The Deep Valley in my dreams

Deep in the valley, I hear a whisper calling my name. It lifts me up, carrying me closer toward it. As I sail along in the cool breeze, my eyes are wide open, wide enough to notice the rich colors painting my surroundings. I hold out my arms, now my eyes close. The wind bashes against my face, trickles through my hair as it flies outward off my shoulders. I feel a tickling sensation on my nose as a flyaway strand lands on my upper lip. I don't care though, because I feel free like a bird charging down the hills in the green grass below my bare feet.

I can feel how warm it is against my skin and between my toes. I open my eyes before I hit the bottom and keep going until I've reached the middle of the open field. There I stand gazing up at the beautiful sky, the sun shining down on my face. I can smell the honeysuckles in the wind drifting past me. I breathe it in, slowly then exhale. I repeat, because I can't seem to get enough of its wonderful fragrance. The birds chirp in my ears, and I look around and see them gathering on the hill in front of me. Black birds, blue birds and robins, I stare intensely as if it means something. As I step forward to take a closer look, they jump from my presence, soaring high up above me into a nearby tree.

Again, I want to feel the breeze against my face, in my hair and smelling the sweet scent of nature. Darting up the big hill, I take off running, and eventually it turns into skipping until I finally reach my tire swing in my front yard. I leap through a hole in the tire, and stand tall while it swings me back and forth through the air. I lean back enough to get the air on my face. My eyes are closed and there is where I imagine I'm somewhere else, a magical world filled with different wonders.
